Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations, or SCIOs, were introduced by the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the 2005 Act”) and have been available since 1 April 2011 through the Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations Regulations 2011.
