Highland Council has published its Highland Wide Local Development Plan – Proposed Plan. The Proposed Plan has been prepared by the Council after undertaking consultation on the Main Issues Report Stage. The Proposed Plan sets the context for all development within the Highland Council Area (excluding the Cairngorm National Park Authority Area). It is therefore of significant importance to all landowners, developers, and other businesses who may contemplate development in the future. The Plan extends forward to 2031 albeit it will be reviewed on a 5 yearly cycle.
The plan is available online at www.highland.gov.uk/developmentplans by clicking on Highland wide Local Development Plan. It is also available at various council offices, libraries and service points.
If you require any further information on the significance of the Plan, or advice on matters arising from your examination of the Plan, please contact Lee Murphy, Senior Planning Solicitor with our Planning & Environmental Practice Group.
