2010 Summer Placement Scheme

We were delighted to offer fifteen law students a place on our 2010 summer placement scheme, having received around 100 applications.  The placement provides the students with an opportunity to experience life at Harper Macleod as a researcher over a structured six-week period.  Importantly, we recruit a number of our future trainees from summer placement students.

Our first seven students completed placements on Friday 16th July, and we welcomed seven new students, Andrew Neilson, Katinka Burmester, Amy Mackenzie, Nicola Lawwell (pictured), Jonathan Tolmie, Kieran Ogilvie and Lauren Morrison on Monday 19th July.  The students work within a number of different teams, including Public Sector, Litigation, Banking, Employment, Corporate, Debt Recovery, Insurance and Real Estate and throughout the placement receive continual guidance, support and feedback.

We are delighted that we are able to continue our commitment to developing and encouraging young talent by providing a learning environment for the students to further develop their legal skills and gain experience of working within a business.
