Glasgow tenants have a new landlord

More than 1000 Glasgow tenants have a new landlord following the transfer of houses from Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) to five community-based housing associations. Harper Macleod acted as advisor during the process and remains the retained advisor to the GHA on the entire Second Stage Transfer programme. Derek Hogg, Partner in the Housing & Community Development Practice Group at Harper Macleod commented: “We are happy to have helped GHA successfully deliver further second stage transfers. Five completions at one time is the most to date, and is testimony to the team-work both within Harper Macleod and in partnership with our clients.”

Gordon Moir, GHA Company Secretary and leading the SST programme for GHA said:  “Harper Macleod has worked seamlessly with the team on these transactions and continues to be a core part of our delivery function as we move ahead with one of the most ambitious programmes of secondary transfers seen in the United Kingdom.  We have settled 14 transactions to date and are hoping to conclude over 22 complex transactions in the next eight months.”
