Hebridean Energy Future

Hebridean Energy Future, An Lanntair, Stornoway – 29 and 30 June 2010. 

This two day event is jointly organised by North Scotland Industries Group, Lews Castle College and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, and will cover topics ranging from EU framework 7 research projects, dealing with Island Economies, renewable energy development potential and workshops addressing topics such as community benefit and supply chain issues.

James McMorrow, Partner in our Public Sector Practice Group, will be speaking at this event on 30 June on the topic of community benefit. James comments “Community benefit and community interest arrangements are becoming increasingly important elements of successful renewable energy projects.” Anne Macdonald, Practice Group Leader for our Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group, will be attending the event and is looking forward to networking with the 100 plus delegates and learning more about the Hebridean renewable energy marketplace.
